Ron Kaller’s crew recently rebuilt my 110 year old garage roof. The quality of their work is excellent. They carefully reused about 85% of the original slates and supplied matching replacements. Copper nails hold the slate in place. New copper flashing, counter flashing and drip edges were fabricated and installed along with new T&G beaded wood decking and new cove molding profiles that match the original details. Minor stucco patching was done as needed. Scaffolding was used to safely access the roof. The work area was cleaned and debris removed daily. These are skilled professionals who take a personal interest in their work. I enjoyed to opportunity to have them here. In the past 18-months, Kaller has also completed two slate roof projects on my 110 year-old house and they rebuilt two chimneys.

My wife and I are so pleased that we chose Kaller for our new roof. The builders were thorough, both with their work, and with cleaning up each and every day that they were here. Kaller Does It Again—Exceptional Work on Our Historic Roof A huge thank you to Mike, Rich, and Chuck for another successful repair on our 100+ year-old terracotta slate roof. Like our previous projects with Kaller, this one presented a real challenge—steep rooflines, unusual angles, and significant damage—but Mike and Rich handled it with incredible skill and precision. When rain started pouring into our living room from a rotted area around the chimney, we called Kaller right away. Even though Chuck was out of town, he responded immediately, and Mike was at our house that same day to stop the leak and stabilize the situation before beginning the full repair. This is the fourth major project Kaller has completed for us, and each time, their craftsmanship, expertise, and clear communication have been outstanding. It took us 20 years to find the right roofer for our historic home, and now that we have, we would not go anywhere else. We are grateful to have found Mike, Rich, Chuck and the entire Kaller team!
