1.Are you licensed to perform roofing work in this state?
Ask for license number and verify online
2.How long have you been in business under this name?
Prefer 5+ years; check for name changes
3.Can I see your certificate of liability insurance?
Should be at least $1M coverage, current date
4.Do you carry workers' compensation insurance?
Required in most states; protects you from injury lawsuits
5.Are you manufacturer-certified for the materials we're considering?
