How Spray Foam Roofing Works
Surface Preparation
Existing roof is cleaned and repaired. SPF can be applied over most existing roof systems.
Foam Application
Liquid components are spray-applied and expand on contact, creating a seamless insulated membrane.
Protective Coating
Silicone or acrylic coating is applied to protect foam from UV and provide walkable surface.
Specialized Application Required
SPF roofing requires certified spray foam contractors with specialized equipment and training. Application is weather-sensitive (50-90°F) and cannot be performed in rain, high wind, or extreme temperatures. Protective coating must be applied within 24-72 hours of foam installation.

Annual Inspection
Inspect coating condition yearly. Look for blisters, coating wear, or exposed foam. Address minor issues before they become major repairs.
Recoating (10-15 Years)
When coating shows wear, a new topcoat can be applied over cleaned surfaces. This renews the roof for another 10-15 years at a fraction of replacement cost.
Indefinite Life Potential
With proper maintenance and periodic recoating, SPF roofs can last 50+ years. The foam itself does not degrade when protected from UV.
