David Totman
I appreciated working with Jeffrey Strickland. He was patient, helped with questions I had, and provided information I needed for project approval. He found a good day to do it during cold and winter weather. The job was well done and in a timely manner. We were very pleased with the work.

I am so grateful for Strickland Brothers and the work they did on my new home. Jeff was a pleasure to work with and was consistently a good communicator. His team completed the job in one day and the roof looks great! Not only did they do a great job, but the integrity of this company amazed me. They realized after we had signed an agreement that they had misquoted me for the job (it should have been more expensive), but said they would honor the original quote. I would certainly recommend Strickland roofing to anyone who is looking for a roofing company.

Jeff and his team did a great job on my new roof. From the first moment I contacted him until the completion of the roof everything went smooth for me as a customer. In my experience, I felt he exemplified what true professionalism is all about. For those who might be looking to get a new roof (or some repair), I certainly think he would be someone you might want to consider that does good work at a very reasonable cost. I do wish him and his team the very best. Thanks so much Jeff, well done!

Edited to Add: pic of text of my acceptance of Strickland coming to my home, Pic of my house the day the roof was being done with the Epistik product, not GAF as Strickland states below, pics of moldy attic sheathing just above where lg hole is, pic of the 1 piece of plywood replaced. I have MANY more pictures &video. I stand by my review. Please read before choosing a roofing contractor. I am in danger of losing my home insurance due to this situation. My warranty with GAF, for which Strickland Brothers is listed as the Contractor, is also affected. See below Strickland Roofing did my roof in the last 6 months. Initially, I had a leak bc 1 inch step flashing was used in places where the old flashing was missing (PA Code requires 2 inches according to licensed roofers I spoke with and this is in writing). The affected wall was dripping during rain. While getting an estimate for gutters, a large hole in the plywood decking was discovered - approx 2 ft x 3 ft hole in the roof eve had been covered up with a piece of sheet metal and then roofed over. Old gutter guards were stuck to the bottom of the Water & Ice Shield layer. According to a phone call with the manufacturer and PA Code, the Water Ice Shield (which has a strong self adhesive) needs to be securely stuck from the bottom edge of the plywood & go up about 3 feet. It should not have gutter guards stuck to the bottom. Further, the Water/Ice layer is also stuck to felt underlayment, NOT the plywood. The Water/Ice Layer must be stuck to the plywood to work. During the first week of September, the Strickland Roofing foreman in charge of doing this roof was here to address the step flashing leak, I asked why the plastic gutter guards were stuck to the Water/Ice Layer and how to get them off. He said they cannot come off without tearing the Water & Ice Shield. To replace them, he said I need to cut the exposed part of the gutter guard in place and leave the part that is stuck to the underside. He said he was told by a person in charge to put them back & roof over them. (He had initially taken them off.) Things that were warranted, in writing, to have been installed on this roof were NOT installed. It was warranted that GAF Pro-Start shingles were used. There are none. It was warranted that GAF WeatherWatch Ice & Water Shield was used. There isn't that product. Instead an unknown brand called EpiStick Water & Ice was used. The drip edge on the roof was only replaced where you could see it from the ground, the second floor drip edge was not replaced & does not cover the facia - which leaves the facia open to water & ice damage. Mid Sept I called Jeff Strickland to discuss the above. He said he would send his guys to assess the situation and texted that a good amount of OSB (sheathing) was replaced. When I checked with my township, I learned no building permit had been pulled for my roof - even though replacing the OSB should have required one. This means that no inspection was performed by the township roofing inspector. A week later, when I got back in touch with Mr. Strickland, I conveyed my concern to trust a foreman who made these serious mistakes. On Sept 24th Mr Strickland texted that he would come with his foreman to see the roof the following week - he did not know what day, but that it would definitely be next week. I thanked him & responded to please let me know when he knows what day so I can arrange my work schedule to be home. I never heard from him again. I had a specialized roofing consultant look at my roof, confirming the above in writing. I also have a large number of pictures & videos. Per GAF website under qualifying products - GAF warranties require a certain number of GAF accessories to be used on a roof in conjuction w the shingles. On my garage roof, only GAF shingles & GAF FeltBuster underlayment was used - these 2 products do not qualify the garage roof for any warranty despite what was represented to me. On my house, only GAF shingles, GAF FeltBuster & GAF Ridge Vent was used - also disqualifying the house for warranty.

We are happy with this company! Jeff communicated every step of the way, and fit us in quickly after receiving a quote (which was the best price compared to the 5+ companies we got quotes for). The roof was done in 1 day, with a great crew of people. 10/10 recommend!
